A concise overview of ENTENCY and its ecosystem.
Context
Modern computing increasingly relies on distributed systems, yet the user experience for interacting with networked resources remains fragmented. Browsers, workstations, and communication tools operate in isolation, and bridging them often requires brittle integrations or centralized intermediaries.
ENTENCY was created to address this gap: a unified environment where distributed execution, user-facing tools, identity, and intelligence can operate as a coherent system.
What is ENTENCY?
ENTENCY has two primary systems: ENTENCY GNS for distributed networking and ENTENCY UP as the unified browser and workstation runtime. ENTENCY AXI is the planned AI layer within the GNS environment. ENTENCY ID is the identity subsystem inside UP, containing the ENT Wallet for ENT-only operations.
The project is developed independently and is under active construction. Public devnet access and documentation will be released incrementally as components reach appropriate maturity.
ENTENCY GNS
ENTENCY GNS — Global Neural System — is the network and runtime substrate that unites content storage, communication, compute, and service hosting. Its current implementation combines deterministic canonical state with a separate content-addressed data fabric.
GNS runs as a node runtime and is integrated into UP. The GNS product page separates implemented state and content layers from networking and service foundations.
ENTENCY AXI
The planned AI layer native to the GNS environment. AXI is designed to interact with the distributed substrate and provide intelligence that operates across the ecosystem. Other applications and services may also interact with AXI through GNS.
AXI is currently in the design phase; its capabilities and integration points will be defined as the underlying infrastructure matures. It is not a personal AI assistant, chatbot, or UP-only feature.
ENTENCY UP
Unified Protocol Browser and Workstation Runtime — browsing and app workspaces with shared session handling, permissions, and a local GNS runtime.
Managed app installation and desktop diagnostics exist in development. Production native protocol execution remains a foundation. See the UP product page for the architecture and current limits.
ENTENCY ID
The identity subsystem inside ENTENCY UP. ENTENCY ID handles your identity inside UP: user identity, profile, recovery, signing, and ENT Wallet integration. It contains the ENT Wallet for ENT-only operations.
It is not a standalone product or speculative asset holder. Its role is to provide identity, signing authority, and controlled access within the UP environment. Canonical network state, capability grants, and reputation remain in GNS.
How the Pieces Relate
GNS provides the distributed network substrate. AXI is the planned AI layer within GNS. UP builds on GNS to deliver the browser and workstation. ID is the identity subsystem inside UP, containing the ENT Wallet.
These components are interdependent but modular, allowing future extension without replacing the core stack.
Current State
GNS and UP are under active development. ID (UP subsystem) is in active development. AXI (GNS subsystem) is in design and planning.
Public devnet testing, detailed technical documentation, and broader access will be announced as components reach appropriate milestones.
Future Direction
The long-term goal is a coherent distributed computing environment where networking, execution, identity, and AI operate as a unified system rather than disconnected tools.
Specific roadmap items and future capabilities will be shared transparently as they move from planning through implementation.
